~ KARATE FOR KIDS ~
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the martial arts. We have developed a program based on traditional Taekwondo for kids called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for our system are monthly themes – referred to as LIFE SKILLS.
In addition to monthly LIFE SKILLS, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special “Victory Stars” which placed on special “Victory Patches”. These different colored stars are rewarded for outstanding performance in karate class, school, home or at the instructor’s discretion for personal victories. Kids may receive the following stars for the improvements listed below:
Gold: Straight A’s, honor roll, or significant improvement
~ BULLYING PREVENTION & AND AVOIDANCE ~
The ATA has teamed up with Olweus to create the most comprehensive bullying prevention program available anywhere – AGENT G: THE ATA DEFENDER!
Children will learn valuable skills on how to recognize and react to bullying in this engaging and interactive seminar. The key takeaways we focus on are developing appropriate responses to difficult situations, confidence building and leadership skills.
Bullying is one of the troubling issues plaguing schools today. Research has shown that unchecked bullying leads to bigger problems, including emotional distress, decreased academic performance, delinquency, depression and even thoughts of suicide. It is destructive for the kids being bullied, the kids doing the bullying, and even kids who witness the bullying.

~ X-TREME MARTIAL ARTS (ATA-X) ~
As seen on the Discovery Channel’s Emmy Award winning documentary, XMA, X-treme Martial Arts, XMA is a performance based program utilizing martial arts as a tool to develop Life Skills and Leadership Skills. Implemented in over 650 martial arts schools worldwide, XMA has increased student retention, motivation and enrollment by enhancing traditional martial arts programs with a non-violent, no-contact alternative to martial arts training. XMA focuses on the development of the individual regardless of age or skill level. Focus, Respect, Self Confidence, Self Discipline, Commitment, Goal Setting, Communication and Performance are the skills centered around XMA’s core training.
XMA (aka ATA Xtreme or ATA-X) is a combination of techniques, methods of movements and philosophies from all martial arts styles. It is a mixture of virtually all martial arts styles blended together with high-flying acrobatics and gymnastics and the hottest Hong Kong “Chop-Saki” action. It is what the kids are seeing on TV, in the movies and on the internet. The goal of ATA-X is to take the skills our students already have and take them to the Xtreme level and to challenge the students to become better than they thought possible.
Mike Chat, creator of XMA, describes his program as: “The ability to perform highly skilled moves and also the ability to perform basic moves and make them look spectacular! This is why XMA is not only for the elite level athletes and competitors, but also for beginners at the entry level as well. It is the look in one’s eyes and position of one’s body that tells the story. It’s not only about punching and kicking, or jumping and flipping, but more, showing strength through the mind as well as the body. To stand planted with your feet on the ground and command the attention of the audience without sound or movement, using only the look in your eyes and the strength of your stance, actually shows more power than any punch, kick or flip. That’s Xtreme!"
Mr. Chat has done more to bring television to the martial arts schools than any of his predecessors. All of his talents and experience in the martial arts, along with his on-screen magnetism landed him a starring role in Fox's hit TV show "Saban's Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue," as Chad Lee the Blue Power Ranger (a.k.a. Aqua Rescue, Rescue 2). Mike began his TV career on "WMAC MASTERS", where he debuted his own character creation, Wizard.
"With XMA we train and condition our bodies to test our physical limits, but at the same time, through this training, we also develop mental strength and tenacity to aid in overcoming physical challenges. Life presents us with many obstacles on all different levels, and XMA is here to help you feel more confident in dealing with these challenges, mentally, physically and emotionally.”
ATA-X is exciting and fun! It is exactly as the name sounds. This program takes the traditional techniques and refines them to the extreme, and as close to perfection as possible! Then, we put the student to even a bigger challenge which all ages seem to thirst for. Take those extreme moves and add music, acrobatics, and weapons to them.
Today, schools across the country have received training in this specialized program that has captured and held the interest of young and old. It has been extremely useful in keeping the teen market involved in positive activities.

~ BLUE DRAGON JIU-JITSU (BDJJ) ~
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It is a derivative of early 20th century Kodokan Judo, which was itself then a recently-developed system (founded in 1882), based on multiple schools (or Ryu) of Japanese jujutsu.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu's basic design was to develop simple and effective self-defense techniques that address every day common attack positions. and promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique – joint locks and choke holds – to defeat the other person. Blue Dragon Jiu-Jitsu (BDJJ) can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. Sparring (commonly referred to as 'rolling') and live drilling play a major role in training, and a premium is placed on performance, especially in competition.
Through learning these techniques a student will gain knowledge and confidence in dealing with aggressive situations. What a BDJJ student will learn: Standing techniques, mount techniques, sie mount techniques, freestyle fight techniques, guard techniques.
~ MMA CAGE FIGHTING ~
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques, from a mixture of martial arts traditions and non-traditions, to be used in competitions. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. Such competitions allow martial artists of different backgrounds to compete.
Modern mixed martial arts competition emerged in American popular culture in 1993 with the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Originally organized with the intention of finding the most effective martial arts for real unarmed combat situations, competitors of various arts were pitted against one another with minimal rules for safety.
In the following decade, MMA promoters adopted many additional rules aimed at increasing safety for competitors and to promote mainstream acceptance of the sport. Following these changes, the sport has seen increased popularity with pay per view reach rivaling boxing and professional wrestling.
